Atlantic Provinces

Canada's Atlantic provinces share a heritage closely tied to the sea, but each offers unique outdoor experiences. Together, the coastal provinces feature picturesque fishing villages, rugged rocky coastlines, and opportunities that range from hunting and deep-sea fishing to sailing, scuba diving, whale watching, and iceberg scouting. But there's more: Newfoundland/Labrador boasts more than 40,000 moose, and vistas that rival the fjords of Norway; Nova Scotia offers 5000 lakes and streams full of brook trout and Atlantic salmon: New Brunswick beams with pride at fantastic whitetail deer hunting; Prince Edward Island brims with sailing and sportfishing. The area is a truly unforgettable experience!

Prince Edward Island is a popular vacation resort, known for the rustic charm of its quiet villages and excellent opportunities for trout fishing, deep-sea and tuna fishing, and other sports.
Nova Scotia was known to the French as Acadia, possibly after the Mi'kmaq word meaning "plenty."
With its many streams and rounded, forested hills, New Brunswick has the rough charm of the uplands of New England. The province is growing to be an excellent summer recreation area.
Newfoundland is a land of rugged beauty. Picturesque fishing villages dot the shores and the outlying islands. Vast tracts of untamed wilderness cover the interior of Newfoundland and almost all of Labrador. Together Newfoundland and Labrador offer a rich variety of sights and diversions.
