All-Canada Show History
In 1983, a Wisconsin-based newspaperman named Dave Hutchison and a handful of Canadian tourist operators decided there must be a better way to market the Canadian outdoors experience. They designed the All-Canada Show-a traveling exhibition of all things Canada-and the rest is history.
Jennifer Young, president, purchased the company to carry on the tradition of producting first class sportshows in the Midwest US. Jennifer is Dave's daughter.
The All-Canada Show has grown from a modest beginning - two shows in 1984 - to its current circuit of nine major Midwestern cities. The secret of the show's success is its select clientele and outstanding range of exhibitors-the largest gathering of Canadian lodges, resorts, and outfitters anywhere. The show now boasts over 300 exhibitors, its own magazine and outdoor direct mail publication, award winning web site, and an extensive marketing and advertising network.
Hutchison, is matter-of-fact about his All-Canada success: "I was fortunate to know some Canadian operators who were looking for a new sales atmosphere which provided consumers with a one stop shopping place for Canadian vacations."
"It has been very rewarding to work with these wonderful Canadian tourism operators, knowing that the Midwestern U.S. consumers will receive a tremendous value for the money they spend on their trip to Canada," Hutchison said, "And American show guests have responded by enjoying the show year after ear."
Jennifer Young is looking forward to continuing the traditions of the All-Canada Show as well as expanding the marketing to include large outdoor cable networks, and adding an All-Canada Show electronic newsletter for show guests to opt in to receive on a year round basis.
Young is very active in the future of the tourism industry in Canada. She is the President of the Allied Board of Directors and a member of the NOTO Board. She also supports associations throughout all of Canada including: MLOA, SOA, APOS, NWT, and many more.
The All-Canada Show believes that educating the American public on border crossing and other questions is something that it does best!
We are looking forward to seeing YOU at the upcoming All-Canada Show. Canada's BEST fishing and hunting. |
